Of course, the Gospel is foolishness to the world, just as abiding by the Lord's Word as the final standard for the whole of man for the whole of life. Following the Lord in a culture that hates and mocks Him reminds of the first bumper sticker I ever put on a vehicle thirty years ago when I first converted to the Lord . . . āIām a fool for Christ, whose fool are you?ā I commend you for your decisive action, may the Lord bless you in your reformational endeavors.Missouri Revhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02358038144021316247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21460741.post-57534123014087547232008-06-19T10:04:00.000-06:002008-06-19T10:04:00.000-06:00Christine,Oh yeah, books. I did get rid of lots of dated books, books I no longer agree with, books that I just considered too darn heavy to move. But I still have tons of books, and will probably expand to farming and do-it-yourself part of my collection considerably.

A lot of our homeschooling collection got boxed up and put in storage for the kids. But we only kept the timeless children's classic type stuff. All the dated titles went to Goodwill or the dumpster.

Which biblical economics book are you reading? Perhaps I should add one more to my collection.. We sincerely hope you do better then breakeven, and that the Lord gives you a fresh start with no debt to worry about. Thanks for stopping by.Randall Gerardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10062002461726327105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21460741.post-17012383140584377382008-06-19T05:46:00.000-06:002008-06-19T05:46:00.000-06:00Randall,We do accumulate 'stuff' don't we! Just to...Randall,

We do accumulate 'stuff' don't we! Just to get the house in 'sale' mode, I've boxed up at least 12 boxes of 'stuff'. Makes me wonder if I really do need it all. The house does look better without it- and it's easier to keep clean! (Some of the 'stuff' is books....I have a hard time thinking of them as 'stuff' as most are self-sufficient, how to, or homeschooling books! :-) )

The value of our dollar sure has deflated! Been reading my biblical economics book (post to come when I finish it) and the author does a good job explaining how we got here.

Your move humbles me and inspires me that I'm on the right track. Now if only someone would pay what I need to get out of it breakeven...

Blessings,
ChristineChristinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15110937250930307223noreply@blogger.com
